Your baby is the size of an eggplant!

Your baby:
  • Baby can open and close eyes
  • Baby can suck their thumb
  • Kicks and stretches
  • Responds to light and sound

Your body:
  • Ankles and feet may get swollen (if face and hands quickly swell, call your doctor)
  • May get stretch marks on belly and breasts
  • May have contractions (if you have more than five in one hour, call your doctor)
  • Balance may be off
  • May have trouble sleeping
  • May have hot flashes

What you can do:
  • Apply lotion to stretch marks
  • Two doctor visits 
  • Learn signs of preterm labor
    • contractions every 10 minutes
    • discharge
    • pelvic pressure
    • dull backpain
    • cramps that feel like period cramps
  • Call doctor if any of the preterm symptoms occur
