Pelvic Floor Therapy and the Chiropractor

A few weeks ago I started going to Pelvic Floor Therapy which at first is an odd experience. It involves a pelvic exam, but after a few visits, it starts to become less awkward. It is not a pleasant experience. She pushes down on every sore muscle in my pelvic area and it hurts like crazy. I am sticking with it because most people who have pelvic floor therapy experience pain relief and I will do anything to be able to feel better.

About two months ago I started going to the chiropractor for my back. My back has been the main source of my pain for about five years and for the first time since it started (excluding Lupron because that fixed all of my pain for seven months), my back pain is getting better. The past two days I have been able to go to school and get out of bed because my back pain wasn't terrible. Today it is hurting, but I haven't had a good day in a while, much less two in a row!

My back feeling better is probably a combination of the physical therapy, chiropractor, and new mattress, but either way, I am glad it is feeling better. I haven't lost hope yet and things can only go up from here (knock on wood).

I decided to start a blog because my mental and physical conditions are constantly changing, and I want to help encourage people with similar experiences, and let them know they are not alone.
